"Jacob" by Chris Renzema
For the past few months I have been in a boxing match with the Lord, unright and unwilling to yield, like a child squirming away from the doctor with the cure to make her better. Chris Renzema's song "Jacob" poetically illustrates the story of a man who was a cunning, stubborn, liar yet was still favored regardless of the fight. Part of my process right now is realizing the Lord isn't afraid of my bite, and that being his family means he never walks away.
